The Uniting Church was formed in 1977 by the joining together of three former denominations (the Methodist, the Presbyterian and the Congregational Churches in Australia).
We stand within the reformed, evangelical tradition that holds to the belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Our belief is that Jesus died on the cross to redeem us, was raised from death, and that those who believe in him have eternal life.
Our congregation has a heart to share the love of Jesus with all people in our community and as ordinary people we believe in an extraordinary God. As a congregation, we believe that the transforming power of Christ is available to all ‘who call upon the name of the Lord.’ Our congregation seeks to be faithful witnesses to the reality of Christ’s presence within us. This leads us to consequently seek to be ‘salt and light’ in our community.
